Total Lunar Eclipse Coming Soon!

During a lunar eclipse, the Moon moves into Earth’s shadow, and sunlight passing through the atmosphere dimly lights it. Shorter wavelengths, like blue and violet, scatter more. Longer wavelengths, like red and orange, pass through giving the Moon a reddish or orangish hue. The more dust or clouds in Earth’s atmosphere, the redder the Moon appears.
